Think Tank by Nabomita™, NSE, and Social Stock Exchange Host Pioneering Forum on "Capital for a Cause: Building an Inclusive Bharat"
In a collaboration with Think Tank by Nabomita™, in association with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), and with Social Stock Exchange (SSE) as Stock Exchange Partner, the forum was successfully hosted on January 20, 2026. The event, themed "Capital for a Cause: Building an Inclusive Bharat," explored the powerful confluence of mainstream capital markets and social impact investing to drive sustainable and equitable growth.
The forum was honoured by the presence of distinguished leaders. The Chief Guest, Shri Ravindra Sathe, Chairman of the Maharashtra Khadi and Village Industries Board ( Honourable Minister of State Status), delivered a compelling keynote. He articulated the vision of aligning India's village industries with impact capital. He presented "The Honey Village," a game-changer to bring about ecological balance and financial freedom to remote economies. "The Social Stock Exchange is not just a financial instrument; it's a bridge of trust and purpose." It allows the artisan in Wardha, the khadi weaver in Nagpur, to tell their story of impact and attract patient, purposeful capital. This aligns perfectly with our mission to scale grassroots enterprises sustainably," he stated.
The Guest of Honour, Shri Sunil Dutt, President of Jio Telecom, highlighted the foundational role of technology and connectivity in this new paradigm. "Digital inclusion is the first step to financial and social inclusion. Jio's mission to democratize data is fundamentally about providing the tools for every social enterprise and NGO to measure, report, and access the SSE platform. Technology will be the great amplifier of impact, making every rupee of social investment traceable and transformative," he remarked.
The dialogue, steered by Ms. Nabomita Mazumdar, founder of Think Tank by Nabomita™, delved into critical topics such as leveraging the SSE framework for rural and khadi sectors, the role of telecom infrastructure in impact measurement, and how mainstream investors can integrate social returns into their portfolios.
